About Gather’s Founder

Hi, I’m Jill Cohen (she/her)—founder of Gather Botanicals and a clinical herbalist, doula, meditation teacher, and parent.

I work with birthing people, postpartum folks, and new parents to support your physical and emotional well-being as you navigate the profound and transformative journey of birth and new parenthood. I practice in Seattle, Washington, Boulder, Colorado, and virtually.

Having experienced pregnancy, birth, and the nursing journey myself, I know firsthand how wonderful and challenging new parenthood can be. I also deeply understand the care that all postpartum people and new parents need and am focused on nurturing you so that you can feel resourced and energized to connect with your little one.

As an herbalist, I believe the natural world holds many gifts that can help us to regain balance and health.

Drawing on the earth’s abundance, I offer herbal consultations and customized botanical formulas to nourish, tend, and restore birthing people and new parents. From tea blends that can help support breast milk production, to herbal compresses for plugged ducts, to tinctures that nourish an overworked nervous system, herbs can play an essential role in helping the body recover from birth and meet the demands of those early days with a new baby.

My work is rooted in a reverence for nature and a commitment to sustainability.

As an herbalist, I look to plants as medicine and to the earth as a teacher. I believe that living in relationship with the natural world is an essential component of a healthy and joyful life. A longtime meditation teacher, I weave meditation, mindfulness, and nature-based rituals into my work to help you connect with the rhythms and cycles of the earth and within yourself.

I live with my family in Boulder, CO.

I am grateful to my many teachers on this path.

First and foremost, to the plants and the Earth—and to Lily Mazzarella, Camille Freeman, Ann Drucker, Deanna Vierck, Paul Bergner, Suzanne Tabert, David Hoffmann, Bryan Bowen, Sevensong, Kimberly Jonas, and the countless generations of people who have heard the call of the plants and shared that wisdom with others.
